Micromax Canvas A1 Android One smartphone getting update to Android Lollipop 5.1

Micromax has announced that the Lollipop 5.1 (OTA) update is now available for the Canvas A1 android one smartphone. Last month Google said that it has started rolling out Android Lollipop update for the Android One smartphones.

Lenovo K3 Note With 4G LTE Support, 5.5-Inch Display, 64-bit 1.7GHz Octa-Core

Lenovo launched a new 4G LTE budget smartphone the Lenovo K3 Note in China, Lenovo K3 Note offers dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) support, and runs on new Lollipop Android 5.0  with the Vibe UI on top. Lenovo is also offering a Teana variant of the K3 Note that features a ceramic piece vibration speaker and is priced at CNY 999 (approx Rs. 10,000).

Samsung Galaxy Tab A (8-inch) 4G LTE, Android 5.0 (Lollipop) With 4,200mAh battery Announced in Russia

Samsung has introduced new Galaxy Tab A series announched in Russia today. The Galaxy Tab A series comes in 8-inch  displays with a resolution of (1024×768) pixels. Samsung Galaxy Tab A (8-inch) is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core (Snapdragon 410 probably) processors, runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop), come with a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. These are just 7.5 mm thick, much thinner than its earlier mid-range tablets.

Display

All three smartphones have identical displays with slight changes in size and resolution. Xiaomi’s Redmi 2 latest model features a 4.7-inch HD display with (1280 x 720) pixel resolution. Lenovo offers a slightly bigger display at 5 inches with same 720p resolution. However, Micromax offers a 4.5-inch display with lowered screen resolution at 854 x 480 pixels all three smartphone some different in features.




Processor

All phones in comparison are powered by reasonably fast processors. While Lenovo A6000 and Xiaomi Redmi 2 opt for the Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core 64-bit processors clocking speeds at 1.2GHz, Micromax Canvas Fire 4 Lollipop is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core CPU. There’s no phenomenal difference between the different processors but Snapdragon has a greater benchmark value than MediaTek.
Camera

In terms of camera, all phones have equal value. Customers won’t have to compromise on the camera, no matter which smartphone they choose. Xiaomi packs an 8MP rear-facing camera with flash and a 2MP front snapper. Similarly, Lenovo A6000 and Micromax Canvas Fire 4 Lollipop have 8MP rear cameras and 2MP front shooters, respectively.
RAM and Storage
Xiaomi, Lenovo and Micromax have similar RAM and storage options in their respective phones. All handsets come pre-loaded with 8GB onboard storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD, and 1GB RAM.
Battery
All phones have different battery capacities with a small margin. The Lenovo A6000 packs the biggest battery of all, 2,300mAh while Xiaomi with its 2,200mAh battery comes a close second. Micromax offers a 2,000mAh battery in its Canvas Fire 4 smartphone.

Operating System
